Bliss Machine LTD comes from humble, yet ambitious beginnings. Dave Bliss started the company in his garage in 1967. We have steadily grown over the years, and currently operate out of a 22,500-square-foot facility that’s decked out with the best people and equipment in the custom machining business.
Bliss Machine LTD has been under the ownership of Mark Stiles for many years now. He bought the business when Mr. Bliss decided that the pace of change and potential for growth were more than he cared to wrestle with anymore. Mark had worked part-time for Mr. Bliss for several years, and had come to develop a real passion for machining. After nearly a year of ironing out a transition plan, Mark took the reigns in 1992 and has never looked back.
From day one, Mark had a clear vision for how he wanted to modernize the company and propel it to the forefront of innovation. He immediately started investing in CNC machines to enhance the shop’s efficiency and precision machining capabilities. With those investments came a period of accelerated growth, which enabled the company to move into the 22,500-square-foot facility it continues to operate out of today.
50+ Years of Innovation
Mark will be the first to say that there are plenty of larger machine shops out there. But you’d be hard-pressed to find one that’s as passionate, determined, personable and flexible as Bliss Machine LTD.
Bliss Machine LTD is truly a family business. Mark’s wife, Jane, runs the administrative side of the company. Their daughter, Leiha, started out as a machinist. Now she’s the chief expeditor and customer service lead, helping to ensure that all customer needs and expectations are met.
Truth be told, each employee of Bliss Machine LTD is like family. Most have been with the company for 15-plus years. It’s that passion, consistency and camaraderie that continues to allow Bliss Machine LTD to offer big-shop capabilities with a small-shop feel.
